Love Island contestant Wes Nelson is the bookies’ favourite to win this year’s series of Dancing On Ice.
Nearly a third of all bets wagered on who will be victorious on the ITV skating show are backing the 20-year-old, according to oddschecker.com.
And – going by the betting patterns – it seems the podium finishes could be dominated by the fellas, with most bookies pricing up male contestants for the top spots.
While Wes is given odds of 2/1 to triumph by bet365, ex-EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood (5/1) and former Strictly pro James Jordan (13/2) are rated as the second and third favourites for the big win.

Skybet seems to agree, suggesting the likelihood of a male celeb winning is 4/9 while a female victory is quoted at 13/8.
They are trailed by Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton (also 13/2) and Westlife’s Bryan McFadden (15/2) to dominate the rink, with Corrie star Jane Danson (9/1) not far behind them.
However, anyone wishing for a fairytale result from TOWIE Gemma Collins’ is probably better off not putting their money where her big mouth is.
Amid reports the OTT social media personality has been throwing up ahead of the series start, she hopefully will not have to endure such jitters for too long – she is rated as a 25/1 outsider to make it to the final.

Only Neighbours veteran Mark Little and Grease star Didi Conn have been given longer odds at success, each at 40/1.
Gemma has also been quoted at 2/1 to quit at any point, which seems a much safer bet considering how she gave up on I’m A Celebrity after three days in the camp.
Also taking part are X Factor runner up Saara Aalto, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and Loose Women presenter Saira Khan, with all three considered among the runners and riders by the bookies.
Odds for who will be eliminated first are not currently available – but unless there’s a shock dumping of Pamela Anderson proportions (remember that in the 2013 series?), it seems likely that Wes, Richard and James will survive to skate another week.
