BGT viewers praise last night’s episode after last week’s ‘worst ever’

There were some great acts...

Britain’s Got Talent is experiencing a tumultuous relationship with viewers so far this series.

Last weekend’s episode was branded the “worst ever” by some, frustrated by boring acts and contestants that are already known.

But it appeared the talent programme was back in favour last night, thanks to a few stand-out acts.

They were charmed by policeman Dave and his dog, Finn, who was also a mind reader. The paira had an incredible back story, as Finn had saved his master from a stabbing but almost lost his life in the process.

Young Irish dancer Ethan Higgins also blew everyone away with his sassy, confident moves, as did roller-skating couple Rosie and Adam.

Alesha Dixon hit her golden buzzer for powerhouse singer Giorgia Borg, who belted out her own song… she’s 10!

Viewers delivered their verdict in the TV courtroom that is Twitter…

It was a different story last Saturday…

This followed a bit of disgruntlement from some viewers last weekend, as acts including comic Barbara Nice, singer Brian Gilligan and harpist Ursula Burns made it through to the next stage of the series, each receiving four yeses from the judges.

A teenager from Mumbai, Akshat Singh, also became the third act to go straight through to the live shows after earning a golden buzzer from Ant and Dec.

Viewers were in slam mode on social media.

One person said: “This must be the worst season of Britain’s Got Talent. #BGT.”

Another wrote: “That had to be the worst #BGT ever,” while a third added: “Worst #britainsgottalent #bgt ever!”

Well, no one can please everyone all the time! And it looks like BGT has turned a corner and silenced critics.
