Host Dec Donnelly then appeared and playfully shooed the crew member off stage.

On Wednesday night, the crew member became an internet sensation after eagle-eyed viewers spotted him during Acrocadabra’s routine.

The dance group, who also involve acrobatics and magic tricks in their routine, were finishing up by pulling a cloth off of a box to show one of the dancers had disappeared.

But as the cloth came off, a member of the show’s production team was seen crouching down behind the box and his horrified expressed suggested that he wasn’t supposed to be there!

But judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams didn’t notice – or didn’t choose to address – the hilarious moment.

Alesha and Amanda burst into laughter as Simon’s jaw dropped.

Meanwhile, last night viewers saw DVJ – the dance group created by Diversity’s Ashley Banjo – go through to the final.
