He bumped into some of the panellists after his interview on This Morning

Britain's Got Talent champion Colin Thackery wants to appear on Loose Women.

The 89-year-old war veteran bumped into Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Saira Khan and Jane Moore after appearing on ITV's This Morning the day after his big win on Sunday night (02.06.19) and he admitted he would love the chance to appear on the panel show because it was his late wife Joan's favourite programme.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Joan never missed Loose Women. She'd always watch it at home. She would have loved that. It's hard to pick a favourite but I do like Ruth.

"I may have won Britain's Got Talent but I am not done yet. I'd love to go on Loose Women. It would be a fine thing at my age to be a Loose Man."

However, he ruled out at the chance of a stint on any other reality shows, despite revealing he has some skills on the dance floor.

He teased: "I can dance but I couldn't cope doing Strictly and I can't do Bake Off as I'd make a hell of a mess."

The Chelsea Pensioner earned himself £250,000 and a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Show.

He admitted he still hasn't "come back to earth" after the amazing moment he was crowned the winner of this year's TV talent show, and he toasted his own victory with a gin and tonic.

He added: "I celebrated with a G&T. I didn't expect to win. My Joan would have been proud but she's northern and wouldn't let it go to my head.

"I got to bed at 12.30am! Late for me as I'm normally in bed by 10.30pm. I've not come back to earth but I'm enjoying the ride. I'd love to go on holiday as one of my treats."
