Phillip Schofield has sent his well-wishes to Holly Willoughby and her family after she revealed her beloved grandmother has passed away.
Opening the daytime show alongside Rylan Clark-Neal, who filled in for Holly, Phil sent a message to his co-star.
Phil said: "Holly is not here today. Sadly her Nan passed away and today is the funeral.
"We're sending lots and lots of love to the whole family and especially to Holly's mum Lynn. Lots of love to you guys."
It comes after Holly shared the news that her grandmother had passed away.
She posted a photo to Instagram of herself and her Nan alongside an emotional tribute.
Holly wrote: "Today we say goodbye for a little while to my beautiful Nan... go and be with Grandad... he's been waiting for you... love you... miss you..."
We’re sending lots and lots of love to the whole family and especially to Holly’s mum Lynn.
Fans, of course, rushed to offer their condolences to Holly and her family
One person said: "Awww so sorry for your loss," while another wrote: "So sorry for your loss Holly."
A third added: "Sorry for your loss Holly."
Rylan filled in for Holly in her absence and, it's safe to say, the Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side presenter didn't fail to entertain.
At the beginning of the show, Rylan found it difficult to match with Phil due to his height and the pair danced around each other to try and find a natural position.
At one point, Rylan even jokingly went to the back of the studio to try and match Phil's height.
Viewers loved watching Phil and Rylan together.
One person said on Twitter: "Love having @Rylan on #ThisMorning," while another wrote: "@Rylan and @Schofe on #ThisMorning is 100% best way to start the day, nobody can disagree."
