Holly Willoughby tried not to giggle as she interviewed three fairy whisperers on This Morning today.
The presenter and her co-star Phillip Schofield met Karen Kay, Rebecca Broomfield and Jesse Smart, who all claim they can see folklore’s favourite winged women.
At one point in the interview, Holly struggled to keep it together when Jesse claimed legendary singer Madonna has “fairy energy”.

Jesse, who met Karen and Rebecca at a “fairy festival”, said: “She has fairies with her. She has fairy energy around her, most definitely,” as Holly grinned.
Jesse added: “I didn’t get to talk one-on-one with her, but I can sense it and see it around people.”
She then told Phil: “You’ve got a little bit of a grumpy gnome with you,” to which Holly burst out in laughter.
Holly, 38, also held back giggles when Jesse claimed she once saw a fairy the size of a tree.
Jesse said: “They’re all different sizes. One day, I saw a fairy that was as big as a tree and it blew my mind.”
Karen claimed that she had “proof” of a real fairy sighting, from footage she took during a trip with her husband.
Holly asked: “I’d love to see a fairy, like, I really want to see a fairy. Why can I not see a fairy and you guys do?”
Jesse explained: “Well, anybody can see one if they want to show themselves to you.
“It’s about being respectful and just saying in your mind or in your heart, ‘fairies show yourselves to me.’ If they want to, they will. They can’t be bossed around.
“But they will check you out.”
Viewers were left utterly baffled by the women’s claims and shared their thoughts on Twitter.
One person said: “Apparently @Madonna is a fairy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 howling! #ThisMorning,” while another wrote: “I don’t know how Phil & Holly keep a straight face when interviewing grown women in children’s dresses saying they believe in fairies #ThisMorning.”
A third added: “@thismorning seriously…. Fairy women are off their rockers #fairys #thismorning.”
