Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reveal exciting royal news on This Morning

This is pretty cool!

| Updated:

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield announced on Thursday that none other than Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall will be appearing on the show!

To celebrate This Morning’s 30th anniversary, the heir to the throne and his wife will be dropping by the studio next week.

Holly explained: “We are very proud and honoured to say that next Wednesday we will be joined by Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall as This Morning celebrates its 30th anniversary.”

An excited Phillip continued: “Charles and Camilla will discover more about This Morning’s successful campaigns and meet other members of the ITV Daytime family, as the couple mark the 90th birthday of the Royal Television Society, of which Prince Charles is a patron.”

The presenters added that the royal couple will sign a visitors’ book, which will be given away as a competition prize later this year.

There’s no denying the ITV gang love a royal group hang.

Both Holly and Phil have met Prince William at the Pride of Britain Awards, and Holly shared an afternoon tea with Kate Middleton in 2015.

The mum-of-three said afterwards that the Duchess of Cambridge “spent a very long time going around every table talking to people.”

And we all know how excited “Royal Reporter” Alison Hammond gets around royalty.

She made headlines in December for shouting “Megs!” over and over at future royal, Meghan Markle, during the actress’s first public engagement with Prince Harry in Nottingham.

And earlier this month, Alison got over excited during a segment with ITV’s royal correspondent Camilla Tominey, begging: “Can I just say something, Camilla? Can I give you a hug?”

Presenting duo Holly and Phil – who took home Best Daytime Show at Tuesday night’s National Television Awards – were certainly on better form on Thursday’s show, after their hungover appearance the day before.

Holly posted a smiling shot of herself on Instagram, writing: “What a difference a day makes… feel slightly more human today!”

Let’s hope there aren’t any hangovers in the near future!
