This Morning caused quite a commotion among viewers on Wednesday for the strangest of reasons.
An un-ironed tablecloth. Yes. You read that right.
The show opened with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield sitting at a Christmas dinner table while running through the episode’s schedule.
But some viewers were NOT impressed with the state of the tablecloth!

One tweeted: “Really have you no shame. Iron your tablecloth!”
It astounded Holly and Phil when they started going through the tweets and reading them out, with Phil saying: “Oh my goodness, we got a battering! We got a proper battering!”
Holly then assured viewers they were getting on it right now, pointing out the tablecloth had been taken away to be ironed.
The camera then flicked to Alison Hammond, busy ironing away and joking how much she hates ironing.
So far, so good….
Until Rylan Clark-Neal chipped in to point out Alison’s iron wasn’t even plugged in, leading to hysterical laughter from Holly and Phil!
“That ain’t even plugged in!” laughed Rylan.
“Look at the telly-ness of it all, look on the floor! This is disgraceful! Do you know what? That’s telly ain’t it, Al. Showbiz!”
Viewers found the gaffe hilarious – not that any of us really expected Alison to be doing the ironing, right?
