Bookies offer odds on Phillip Schofield getting the boot from This Morning

The odds are pretty high on him going, they say…

Although ITV bosses have slammed claims that Phillip Schofield is embroiled in a series of feuds with his colleagues, bookies think there is a strong chance that he could get the boot from the channel’s flagship show This Morning.

Earlier this week it was claimed that Ruth Langsford had made an “official complaint” about Phil.

Fans believe it came after he interrupted her live on air back in April.

It’s been reported that as many as eight ITV employees have spoken of a “toxic atmosphere” on set.

Now, despite ITV’s denial that they also considered replacing Phillip with Ben Shephard, bookmakers have waded into the alleged scandal.

Paddy Power is taking bets on Phil leaving the show that he currently hosts alongside Holly Willoughby.

They have offered odds of 6/4 for Phil – who is married to wife Stephanie Lowe – to be axed from This Morning.

Not only that, they’re also taking bets on the silver fox getting the boot from Dancing On Ice, too.

Paddy Power is currently offering odds of 4/1, should you fancy a flutter.

You can also bet on who you think will replace Phil, should he be asked to leave.

Ben Shephard, Rylan Clark-Neal, Dermot O’Leary and I’m A Celebrity’s Declan Donnelly are all in the running, according to the bookmaker.

A spokesperson said: “There’s trouble surrounding This Morning as silver fox Phillip Schofield is hit with yet more rumours of complaints.”

Our odds suggest he’s short-priced to be shown the door by ITV.

They added: “Our odds suggest he’s short-priced to be shown the door by ITV – and we make Ben Shephard the favourite to replace him.”

However, Ben isn’t a shoo-in for the role, should it become vacant.

“Following their BAFTA win last year, could Dec and Holly swap the jungle for the sofa?” Paddy Power said.
