Billie Faiers says she’s ‘prepared to forgive’ Phillip Schofield over rude comments

She was livid after appearing on This Morning

Billie Faiers has revealed she’s prepared to ‘give Phillip Schofield a second chance’ after she accused him of being rude to her.

The reality TV star, 29, recently appeared on This Morning to discuss her wedding – but there was certain details she did NOT want to share.

But that didn’t stop Schofe asking!

Back in March, Billie and her sister Sam appeared on the daytime show to speak about her big day and host Phil probed Billie on the cost of the wedding.

Phil said at the time: “My God, you must be earning beautifully to be able to do this.

“This is the Kuramathi Resort in the Maldives. So we had a look, if you were to stay there next Saturday it would be £650 a night, that would be £4,588 for a week for the superior beach villa.

“The whole week for a 100 guests, £229,000. So you must have got a deal there. £229,000 for your wedding?”

Laughing awkwardly, Sam said: “Not much of a deal,” before Billie added: “No, it wasn’t quite that.”

Not done with his grilling, Phil asked: “Right, so they did give you a deal?”

Billie said: “Because there was a large group of us, we had the beach houses but they split them in two so two families would be in one beach house. That really helped us out.”

Earlier this week, speaking to OK! Magazine, the reality TV star admitted she was “in shock” after the interview.

She revealed: “I was in shock. Prior to our appearance, I’d been very clear that I don’t talk about money. It’s rude and it’s nobody’s business but ours.”

Her husband Greg Shepherd added that they “should ask Phillip Schofield how much he earns”.

Billie added: “They were trying to insinuate that we got the wedding for free, which is so far from the truth. We saved for our wedding for years.”

However, now she has told The Sun, that she’s prepared to forgive the veteran TV presenter.

While at the Tropicana Whole Fruit launch in London’s Soho, she explained: “I did think it was rude. I was uncomfortable and I was taken aback.

“I was in shock that someone would ask how much my wedding cost. But it wasn’t a personal dig at Phil.”

Promising she’s over it, Billie added: “I’m sure I’ll see him out and about and say hi. I’m sure it’ll be fine. I think I just added fuel to the fire about the row [with Amanda Holden].

“He probably didn’t want to ask about the money but felt he had to.”

Billie and Greg – who have daughter Nelly, four, and son Arthur, two – tied the knot earlier this year.

The mum-of-two wore a beautiful fishtail, lace, crystal-embellished gown designed by Berta for her big day and Greg was overwhelmed by how beautiful his bride looked.

Speaking to OK! at the time, Billie said of her big day: “Other than the days that Nelly and Arthur were born, it was the best day of my life. It was like a fairytale – all the stress and tears were worth it.

“It’s so lovely for me to finally be a Shepherd and share a surname with my children. Marriage ties our little family together completely.”
