Viewers of Lorraine have been left baffled by an actress playing Princess Diana in a musical.
Former hairdresser Natasha John, from Wales, is set to star in the new West End musical as the late Princess of Wales.
However, viewers claimed Natasha looks “nothing like” Diana after host Lorraine Kelly said she’s “got the look”.

Speaking about the musical, Natasha said: “When [producers] first called me and said ‘Diana musical’ even I was a little bit like, ‘this is strange.’
“But when I heard the music, it sold me. Then I read the script and I thought, ‘this is actually a lovely tribute.’ They’ve used that she actually said. It’s her story and it’s a tribute to her.
“The show does go into her heartbreak and the trouble she had because obviously that was part of her life. But the story is a tribute, a positive tribute to her.
“If you loved Diana, you will love this show. The music is amazing, the costumes, if you’re a fan of Diana you will love it.”
When asked if she’s been “studying” Diana’s voice and mannerisms, Natasha said: “Yes, I have. I’ve been told I’ve got to get rid of the Welsh accent.
“I’ve been listening to videos of her and trying to copy her. Just trying to do her justice really. It’s a risky role but it’s the type of thing I have to do.”
Lorraine had earlier told her: “You do have the look of her, you really do.”
But some viewers didn’t agree and shared their thoughts on Twitter.
One person said: “Amazing how donning a short blonde wig makes people think they can look like Diana. None of them do and this lady is no exception.”
Another wrote: “Sorry but that girl looks nothing like princess Diana.”

Speaking about her hopes for Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry’s reaction to the musical, Natasha said: “We want to do a show that hopefully them boys will love.”
