Calls him a "pain in the bum"

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has been typically candid about what she’d do if she had to host alongside Piers Morgan – claiming that she’d strangle him.

Lorraine’s self-titled ITV show follows Piers on Good Morning Britain, which he hosts alongside Susanna Reid – who Lorraine called a “saint” for having to deal with Piers.

Speaking to The Daily Mail’s Femail magazine, the presenter called her colleague a “pain in the bum” and said killing him would be “justifiable”.

“If I had to sit next to him on the sofa every day I’d strangle him with my bare hands,” she said.

“It would be justifiable homicide. Susanna Reid – who does have to sit next to him – is a saint in my eyes.”

She went on to say that this didn’t mean she doesn’t respect her ITC colleague, claiming that she wouldn’t joke about him if she didn’t.

“You can only say the sort of things we say to each other if, deep down, you respect each other,” she said.

“I do think he’s interesting to watch, even if he’s a pain in the bum.”

Lorraine and Piers have had a playful relationship for years. Back in 2015, in an interview with Attitude Magazine, she claimed that he referred to her as “an iron fist in a fluffy glove.”

She claims the comparison is apt for her show, saying that because it’s a lighthearted breakfast show, people don’t expect it to tackle weighty issues.

“We’re unashamedly entertainment, but we’re often the first to talk about difficult topics such as female genital mutilation or transitioning,” she said.

Perhaps the next time Susanna needs a break from presenting duties Lorraine will step in to cover for her – it will definitely be an exciting show.
