Lorraine Kelly chastised by Piers Morgan after live TV blunder

She forgot to put her mobile phone on silent!

Lorraine Kelly was left rather embarrassed after a mishap live on Good Morning Britain this morning.

The presenter was midway through a preview segment with GMB when her mobile phone began ringing live on air.

The blunder happened as the 59-year-old host was telling the Good Morning Britain team what was coming up on her Lorraine show.

After hearing her phone ringing, GMB presenter Piers Morgan stepped in to have a cheeky dig.

He sarcastically said to Lorraine: “Are you doing any features on phones accidentally going off in the middle of teases, or not?”

Looking sheepish, she replied: “See I knew you would hear that. I was trying to fiddle about with it to turn it off.”

Piers’ co-host Susanna Reid then probed Lorraine and asked who was calling her so early in the morning.

Lorraine explained it was an old school friend called Stuart Harris and she had her phone on because she had been talking to her daughter Rosie.

Seizing the opportunity to wind Lorraine up, Piers, 53, then added: “How many of your old male friends from school call you at 8.07 in the morning out of interest?”

Lorraine chuckled and then explained that her pal had called because he was “coming over later” – which only made things worse!

“I bet he is,” teased Piers.

While Susanna, 48, chimed in with: “Stuart and Lorraine sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G.”

But Lorraine, who is married to Steve Smith, saw the funny side and cracked up at their saucy jibes.

She then added fuel to the fire by trying to remember if she had ever kissed her friend!

She remarked: “No we never did that. Did we? No we didn’t.”
