Loose Women’s baby shower plans for Stacey Solomon were scuppered after she unexpectedly went into labour yesterday.
The Loose Women panel revealed they had planned a baby shower for Stacey today (May 24) but she ended up giving birth a month early.
Panellists Andrea McLean, Brenda Edwards, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams sent their love to their co-worker after she missed the show.
Host Andrea sat at the desk, which was decorated with baby bunting and party treats, and told viewers: “We were actually going to throw Stacey’s baby shower today.
“We were all ready with decorations and games and presents and then we heard we were too late!”
Stacey’s sister Gemma phoned into the show and told the Loose Women that the baby boy “flew out”.
Gemma said over the phone: “She’s so good. She did amazing. It was such a lovely birth. I was so privileged to be part of it. I feel like it flew out of her.
“There were tears of joy. Joe was so good.”

As the Loose panel celebrated the arrival of Stacey and her partner Joe Swash’s baby boy, she revealed she was watching from home and “crying happy tears”.
Looks like @hollywills called it.

She said she felt overwhelmed by their well wishes and is grateful to have them in her life.
Stacey, 29, tweeted: “No matter how intense these after birth pains are I’m smiling from ear to ear watching my family at @loosewomen celebrate my baby shower without me.
“Me and baby are so grateful to have you all in our lives we love you. I’m crying happy tears 💙.”
