Denise Welch reveals moment Dale Winton’s ghost sent her message

Dale passed away last year

Denise Welch revealed Dale Winton sent her a message from beyond the grave during today’s Loose Women.

The panellist said the former Supermarket Sweep host, who passed away in April last year, praised her for giving up alcohol during a session with a medium.

Denise explained that her friend went to see the medium and Dale was the person who “came through to talk to me through her”.

Denise said: “I get a bit cynical but my friend went to see a medium and the person who came through to talk to me through her was Dale Winton.

“I was delighted to hear from Dale but he wasn’t as close to me as my mum coming through.

“Dale said, ‘Denise looks much better since she’s given up drinking,’ which was lovely and thank you, Dale.

“But I still need a little more proof. We have the same birthday.”

She added: “If a feather comes down I don’t think that’s my mum sending me a message, but it makes me think about my mum.”

Dale passed away last year due to natural causes at the age of 62.

At the time, Gloria Hunniford claimed Dale died alone in his bed 30 minutes after complaining he was feeling unwell.

She said on Loose Women: “He had his assistant in the house and had a cup of coffee and a chat, he was fine.

I was delighted to hear from Dale but he wasn’t as close to me as my mum coming through.

“He then said, ‘Do you know what, I’m not feeling great’, so went upstairs for a bath or a shower.

“She thought it was a bit quiet, so went upstairs in half an hour’s time and sadly found him dead in his bed.”

She added: “I just think it’s so sad when people say he took his own life.

“This has really upset me in the intervening time – so many people have said, ‘It’s such a shame he committed suicide’.

“But he didn’t. He did not commit suicide and I’m keen to set the record straight.”

Meanwhile, Denise gave up alcohol seven years ago and marked the milestone on Twitter in April this year.

She wrote: “Today marks 7 years since I had my last drink. I hardly recognise the woman I was but I feel for her. Giving up saved my life.”
