Jeremy Kyle viewers were left gobsmacked when resident therapist Graham Steiner bluntly shut down the host as he tried to give advice to a mother and son on the show.
As Jeremy attempted to fix the mother and son’s broken relationship, The Jeremy Kyle Show's psychotherapist Graham told Jeremy his advice to the pair was all wrong.
Jeremy was clearly shocked by Graham’s response when he told the family members to try and forget the past and move forward.
Graham bluntly told him: "No, it’s not." leaving Jeremy looking surprised and exclaiming: "Brilliant!"
The rehab advisor said: "What you are doing is just ignoring the issues of the past and you’re trying to develop a relationship without having an open and honest conversation about the past.
"It’s important to talk about his childhood and it’s important to understand from his perspective how he saw his childhood.
Then you have an opportunity to share with him how you feel about the past. To clear the past up.
"This was his experience, it wasn’t anybody else’s experience and he needs an opportunity to say to whatever he feels.
"Then you have an opportunity to share with him how you feel about the past. To clear the past up."
Looking for a chance to redeem himself the 53-year-old presenter added: "Would it not be fair to say that’s what I meant?"
Graham once again bluntly replied: "No."
Viewers thought the fallout between the pair was hilarious and couldn’t stop praising Graham’s "burn".
One tweeted: "Graham’s getting fired after that #jeremykyle ego burn, He’s fuming."
Another added: "Go Graham! Standing up to Jeremy and showing who’s the expert! #jeremykyle."
While a third joked: "jeremykyle TWICE in one show @GrahamStanier1 u went way up in my estimation."
However, despite Jeremy and Graham both offering their advice to the son, Ryan, they couldn’t help him resolve his relationship with his mum as the show’s Twitter account revealed he had refused aftercare.
