One of the stories on this morning’s Jeremy Kyle Show brought viewers to tears, as guest David told the presenter how he’s suffered years of abuse over his size 19 feet.

Appearing on the show with his fiancée Aimee, David explained to Jeremy that he had wanted to get married before his mum passed away, but couldn’t afford to buy a pair of bespoke shoes in his size at a cost of £2,000.

“My mum passed away in May so she couldn’t see her son get married,” David said.

Revealing that he gets called names including “Sideshow Bob” when he walks down the street, David says his huge feet affect all aspects of his life.

He is the only person in the UK known to have size 19 feet and told Jeremy: “I came here today because I need help.”

David revealed that he can’t “go to nice places with friends” or for job interviews because “the first thing they say to you is: ‘Where are your shoes?'”

He added: “I don’t have £2,000 to go and get a pair of shoes.”

Aimee revealed: “I want to get married to him and I don’t want him wearing trainers. You don’t wear a suit with a pair of trainers.”

After David revealed he was scared Aimee was going to leave him, fairy godfather Jeremy decided to step in, asking one of the crew to come out onto the stage.

“I got you some shoes,” Jeremy grinned, as David and Aimee stared open-mouthed at the blue present David had just been handed.

Pulling the shoes out, David said he didn’t want to try his shoes on during the show, so host Jeremy did instead, as David, Aimee and the audience laughed.

“Wow,” Aimee said. “I’m very happy,” David added. “It means so much.”

Viewers were touched by the story and tweeted the show in their droves.

One admitted: “Bawling my eyes out at the man with size 19 feet,” while another wrote: “Fantastic. That really made me cry. I’ll never complain about having small feet again.”

A third added: “How lovely for them and the show to do such a kind thing.”

It’s safe to say Jeremy’s now bagged an invite to the couple’s wedding.
