Danniella Westbrook and Chris Maloney’s Jeremy Kyle episode cancelled tomorrow

The show has been postponed until further notice

Following the tragic death of a guest, tomorrow’s celebrity special episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show – featuring Danniella Westbrook and Chris Maloney – has been cancelled.

Viewers were left stunned when today’s episode of the show was taken off air at the last minute, and ITV has announced that the show has been pulled from the schedules until further notice.

On Friday, the show’s official Twitter account teased Danniella’s appearance.

The Tweet said: ‘It was great having @westbrookdanni back in the studio, you can watch the interview on Tuesday in another BRAND NEW show! @ITV @WeAreSTV’

But fans were left disappointed when both today and tomorrow’s celebrity episodes were cancelled.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

Danniella tweeted the news after discovering the show wouldn’t be airing.

Christopher also tweeted: “Hi guys, just spoken to the producers @ITVJeremyKyle and our celebrity special will be aired at a later date @westbrookdanni will keep you updated. In the meantime my thoughts are with the family at this time.”

Danniella, who has openly battled drug addiction, last appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show in February, when an intervention from Jeremy arranged for the actress to be sent to a rehab centre for a three-month stint.

After that emotional appearance, Danniella tweeted: “For those of you asking, my good mate Jezza had me on his show which is being aired in the morning and has kindly sent me to rehab for three months.”

Now, with rehab finished, Danniella tweeted ahead of her planned appearance:

“Just wanna say thanks @ITVJeremyKyle and the Perry Clayman Project for the love support and patience. I’m fixed from the inside out. On the way to Pcp missed my Pcp peers and my home groups the last 2 days #recovery #pcp #TheWestbrook #Clean.”
