Kate Garraway suffers awkward GMB blunder as Christine Lampard ‘ignores’ her

It wasn't all what it seems...

Kate Garraway suffered an awkward moment on Good Morning Britain today when she tried to talk to a “pre-recorded” clip of Christine Lampard.

The daytime show cut to Christine, who is filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her programme over the summer, so she could tell viewers what was coming up on Lorraine.

But it seems Kate forgot that Friday’s episodes of Lorraine are filmed on Thursdays so she was actually talking to a pre-recorded clip of the presenter rather than it being live.

Kate and her co-stars Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins were discussing the effect of Britain’s heatwave.

Kate said the hot weather hasn’t had a great effect on her hair.

As the studio cut to the Lorraine studio, Kate asked Christine: “Christine knows what I mean! Christine, don’t you Christine, the frizzy hair?”

However, Christine started talking about what was coming up on the show.

As it cut back to GMB, Adil and Charlotte were laughing at the awkward moment.

Kate insisted: “She wasn’t ignoring us you know. It was just a sound problem.”

Charlotte quipped: “She was like, ‘I had no idea what we were talking about.'”

Adil joked: “No one ignores you,” as he moved towards Kate jokingly pushing her out of the camera view.

Kate insisted: “Christine knows the virtue of a great blowdry… she does! I promise you.”

Viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter.

One person said: “No Kate, it wasn’t a sound problem at all…..we all know Friday’s #Lorraine is pre-recorded.”
