Corrie SPOILER: Peter shares his darkest secret tonight

What will Carla make of it?

| Updated:

While newly single Peter Barlow (played by Chris Gascoyne) is still reeling over the news of baby Susie’s paternity, he’s set to put the cat amongst the pigeons in tonight’s episode of the soap.

Peter, and quite rightly so, believes the Connors need to know that baby Susie is actually Aidan and Eva Price’s daughter.

The hot head marches over to see his ex-wife Carla and initially she thinks he is there to talk about his recent split with Toyah, and she really isn’t interested, but when he reveals the shocking truth about baby Susie’s real parents, Carla (played by Alison King) is taken aback.

She then convinces herself that Aidan didn’t know he had fathered a child because surely he would not have taken his own life?

According to Metro, as Carla breaks the news to Aidan’s grieving dad Johnny (played by Richard Hawley) that Susie is actually his granddaughter, he breaks down and says to Carla: “My granddaughter and I’ve been living over the road from her for all this time, if he [Aidan] knew, it would have changed everything, I know my son. A baby would have given him everything to live for.”

Deciding Eva is responsible for his son’s death, Johnny heads over to the Rovers with Carla and Kate (played by Faye Brookes) in tow, to confront her and it isn’t pretty. He brands her a liar and reveals he is going to fight tooth and nail for custody of his grandchild.

And things are set to get even nastier next week in the feud between them when Susie bumps her head and Johnny hears the news on the grapevine (well, from Liz McDonald) and contacts social services. It looks like it’s set to be a rough ride for Eva.

Cath Tyldesley recently told ITV: “Eva is a fighter and she is her mother’s daughter – she can give as good as she gets which surprises Johnny.

“She is so ready to fight for custody, she has already given her up once, she is not prepared to lose her little girl again. She is ready to play hardball, much to everyone’s shock.”

With this storyline marking Eva’s exit from the street, will she be leaving alone or with baby Susie in tow. Viewers will just have to wait and see.
