This Morning viewers slam woman’s reason for wanting to leave her husband

Today's phone in left some fans of the show scratching their heads

This Morning’s phone in got viewers tweeting their outrage at a lady whose name was hidden and given as ‘Chloe’ for threatening to leave her husband.

The show were discussing sex and porn addiction in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal sweeping Hollywood.

The phone in saw a Chloe call up to explain she’d been through her husband’s history on his iPad and found he’d been on porn websites.

“I don’t usually use his iPad because I’m quite trusting,” she said.

“But I saw a couple of searches on porn websites and it immediately made me feel sick and really upset, so I went back further through his history and I found he’d been doing it really regularly.”

Holly went on to ask: “You say at least once a day sometimes twice, have you spoken to him about it?”

“I told him I was really upset and he said he understood, but I still feel like he’s doing it. It’s always been a secret, but I think now he’s probably just deleting his history.”

Phillip then revealed: “But you’ve told him you’re going to leave him if he carries on doing it?”

Chloe replied: “Yeah, I told him I couldn’t be with him it makes me feel so self-conscious and uncomfortable.”

Viewers on Twitter thought Chloe was overreacting a bit to what she’d discovered.

Psychotherapist Paul Hall was on advising the viewers who were phoning in and she explained: “It’s really difficult, there are lots of partners who could feel self-conscious and feel easily compared to that and feel they can’t live up to those standards.

“It doesn’t mean he’s a porn addict, if you were against alcohol and you found out your partner had a glass of wine every day it wouldn’t make them an alcoholic.

“But Chloe, this is between you and your partner and you have absolutely every right to say to him this is not okay by you.”

Phillip pushed though that leaving him was a big step and asked if there was any way to soften the options slightly and Paula explained if it wasn’t okay by Chloe then it wasn’t okay for the relationship.
