This Morning viewers outraged by Lotto winner who claimed £1 million prize ruined her life

Jane Park was 17 when she scooped £1 million on her first ticket

At just 17-years-old Jane Park became the youngest Euromillions winner after bagging a whopping £1 million on her first ticket.

But Jane has faced much criticism after claiming the money has ruined her life and made her “miserable” and even planned to sue Camelot.

Jane appeared on Friday’s This Morning, four years after her big win, to talk about how her life has been since winning the money.

Speaking to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford Jane, now 21, said her win was a “twisted-fairy tale”.

The presenters asked Jane if she is now happier since her win. Jane replied: “I suppose now that I’m a bit older it’s a bit better.

“Looking back though it has been a bit of a twisted fairy tale.”

“At the start it was very much like that I was overly excited, I couldn’t contain my excitement,” she continued.

“You are out buying things and it is nice the initial reaction, but then when you have to step back you have got to be wise with it.

“When I was 17 everyone assumed that I was just going to blow it. I’m trying to be sensible and not this stereotypical type.

“I’ve got property and investment, it’s nearly five years on and and I still live comfortably.”

Since her win Jane has splashed out on a Brazilian bumlift which cost £5K and spent thousands shopping.

But Eamonn, 57, was quick to hit back at Jane and asked if she thinks she’s just “hard to please”.

He said: “I think you are overthinking it. You are 17 you have got £1M that you never had before what’s the worst that can happen? You spend it all and you are back where you started.

“Are you just a bit hard to please? No matter what it is. You got £1M for nothing, you got a bum lift for nothing, you got all these cars, but four years on why is life so rubbish?

“Why can’t you just say this has been an amazing rollercoaster ride?”

And viewers seemed to agree with Eamonn and slammed Jane for being “ungrateful”.

One tweeted: “Jane I feel so sorry for you, NOT #ThisMorning #BeGrateful #Lottery #WhyPlayTheLottery.”

“This Jane Park needs to stop getting publicity. If I won the lottery it definitely wouldn’t ruin my life. Grow up,” another ranted.

Another added: “Being rich ruined her life? So will she happier living on the streets with no money?”

Earlier this year Jane appeared on ITV’s Loose Women where she said she would no longer be looking into suing lottery bosses.

But Jane did reveal she believed that people should be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket.

Speaking about her win she told the panel: “At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life.

“I thought it would make it ten times better but it’s made it ten times worse.”

“I have material things but apart from that my life is empty. What is my purpose in life?

“I think 18 should be the minimum age for winning the lottery, at the least. The current age of 16 is far too young,” she added.
