Harrison Ford is hands down one of the greatest living movie icons; he’s also known for being a legendary grump in interviews.
So the producers of This Morning must have been feeling pretty anxious about sending along their usual junket journo Alison Hammond for a chat about his new movie.
They had been warned that her usual schtick – themed quizzes – wouldn’t be tolerated by the showbiz stalwart.
She’d have to ask some questions about his actual film – Bladerunner 2049 – instead.
Of course, that all went south before the interview proper began.
Viewers saw her admitting to Harrison and his co-star Ryan Gosling that she hadn’t seen the original movie.
Then something magical happened – with a twinkle in his eyes the Star Wars legend started to take the mickey out of Alison.
He suggested she might like to cheer up a little – a clear joke, given her indefatigable enthusiasm.

That then set off that deliciously infectious laugh – which well and truly warmed up the old boy.
Baffled by proceedings, Ryan then poured himself a whiskey – and when Alison joked that she was only interested in talking to Harrison, he walked off to operate the camera instead (and viewers were treated to a quick flash of flesh as his jumper rose up).
So, she managed to pull of the impossible and make Harrison happy – even if she came away with no information about the movie whatsoever.
It’s the best giggle This Morning viewers have had in an age, and they were full of praise for the delightful presenter.
