What an incredible relationship

This Morning viewers had their heartstrings pulled today when a five year old girl appeared on the couch to pay a touching tribute to a war hero.

Big-hearted and big-minded Tempy Pattison has been raising money for the Help The Heroes campaign for two years ever since she had seen a poppy and mum Emily explained to her about the sacrifices made by brave soldiers.

Last month the little money-raiser made headlines when she came face to face with one of the soldiers she was trying to help.

In a touching video clip, that has since gone viral, the five year old girl met 38-year old Simon Brown, who was shot in the face, leaving him blind and with facial injuries.

On today’s This Morning the pair were reunited and got on like a house on fire and the little girl was simply awestruck by the brave soldier she sat beside.

During the chat, Ruth and Eamonn asked the wee poppet if she had met many soldiers before.

A shy Tempy replied: “I have met soldiers before but he’s the bravest one I’ve ever met.”

Viewers’ hearts immediately melted, as did her mother’s, who said she was so proud of her daughter and that she was “absolutely blown away” by her creativity.

“She comes up with these ideas and I facilitate them,” mum Emily said.

Moved viewers took to social media to pay tribute to the pint-sized fundraiser.

One said: “Oh my God this little girl that raises memory for help ocherous on #ThisMorning is so adorable.”

Whole another gushed: “#ThisMorning God bless that man and little girl. Both doing extraordinary things,” said one  There is good in the world people, remember that.”
