This Morning viewers’ hearts melted by smile of adorable child model Cora as she catches herself on TV

The six-year-old has secured her first modelling job!

This Morning viewers had their hearts melted today by the smile of a little girl with Down’s syndrome who has secured her first modelling job.

Cora Bishop of Wrexham is one of six children with disabilities between the ages of three and ten set to became stars of River Island’s new children’s range as part of a ‘Labels are for clothes’ advertising campaign celebrating diversity.

And it seems Cora’s smile – which beamed even brighter when she recognised and pointed at herself on screen – is already winning people over, with viewers commenting it ‘lit up their day’.

Indeed, telly watchers seemed united in adoring Cora, congratulating River Island on the campaign.

The six year-old’s proud parents, Sheryl and Daniel, previously told Walesonline.co.uk they hope to change perceptions of people with disabilities and show their daughter she has plenty of options available to her life.

“We wanted to show the positive side of Down’s Syndrome and it was really important for us to explore different avenues for Cora’s career,” said Sheryl.

“I know she’s only six but it’s important to consider the things she likes.”

She added: “I don’t want her to be limited when she’s older – I want her to have as many experiences as possible and for her to choose her career path.”

Sheryl also told Phil and Holly she has worried about bullies – but is reassured by the behaviour of Cora’s schoolfriends who are “very protective”.
