This Morning viewers do a double take over guest’s name

The force is definitely with her

This Morning welcomed the participants who will be appearing on Thursday’s Rich House Poor House to the sofa today.

But as they told their stories to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, viewers picked up on one thing in particular – the name of one of the guests.

Skye Walker from the ‘poor house’ swapped lives with Belinda and Matthew Sethard-Wright for a week.

Skye and her three children, Ashani, 13, seven-year-old Riahiema, and two-year-old Kareem live on a budget of £176 per week, while the Sethard-Wright’s and their kids 12-year-old Olivia and seven-year-old Theo have a weekly disposable income of £1500.

However it wasn’t the differences in their financial situations that startled viewers, it was the fact Skye was seemingly named after a very big character in Star Wars – Luke Skywalker.

Heading straight over to Twitter, they immediately picked up it.

Skye came across really well on the show, and impressed with her talk of making a better life for her kids.

Explaining her reasons for taking part in the life-swap show, she said “I did it for my sisters and my daughters.

“Kids these days don’t really have a set of goals, it’s iPhones and new trainers, but I want them to see what they can achieve if they do well in school.”

Belinda and Matthew said they were shocked at how the £176 didn’t spread as far as they thought it had.

“I thought we’d smash it,” revealed Belinda. “We could tighten things and we wouldn’t have any luxuries, but it’d be fine.

“We ran out of money by Friday. It went on the food shop, petrol and heating.”

However, she continued: “We learnt it’s not money that makes you happy. Although where Skye felt lighter because she had money, I felt more stressed as I didn’t have the luxury of spending what I wanted to. But we were still happy as a family.”

Skye revealed one of the hardest things was taking her kids home at the end of the week.

“It was depressing, I know my kids won’t get that opportunity again. It was like post-holiday blues, it was sad.

“I did say to them hopefully next year things will change up and they can do more activities.”

Rich House Poor House is on Channel 5 on Thursday at 9pm.
