This Morning confirm Rylan Clark-Neal’s return… and he’ll be joined by Emma Willis!

He's back next week!

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have announced that Rylan Clark-Neal is returning to This Morning next week.

The former X Factor star took a break from the ITV show last December to focus on other projects but always vowed he’d be back.

And he was telling the truth!

“I knew [Rylan] wouldn’t be gone for long!” Phil said on Tuesday, as he shared the news with viewers.

“He’s back, he’s back!” Holly excitedly gushed.

The 29-year-old isn’t just back for a small segment doing the showbiz reporting next week, he’ll actually be co-hosting as Holly and Phil take time off for Easter.

And joining him will be his good friend and fellow Big Brother presenter Emma Willis!

Their fans were delighted with the news and took to Twitter to share their excitement.

“@Rylan @EmmaWillis Best news ever CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO PRESENT @thismorning TOGETHER,” one wrote.

Another said: “OMG!! @Rylan is back on this morning next week presenting with @EmmaWillis I literally just screamed the house down I’m so excited!!!!!!!”

A third wrote: “@Rylan so happy to hear your back hosting @thismorning! Made my day!”

Others used gifs to reflect how ecstatic they are about the Big Brother presenters being reunited on ITV.

Rylan’s fans were gutted when he announced last December that he would be taking “a little break” from his role as This Morning’s showbiz reporter and substitute co-host.

At the time, the presenter had to deny allegations that he’d been sacked (as if!) and always promised he would be back.

Earlier his month, he told OK! Online that he took the break to work on a “secret business venture,” which he’s finally been able to get his teeth into as he’s not been having 6am starts.

He said: “I’m focusing on business stuff at the moment. I’ve been doing something for three years and now I’ve had this break I’m finally able to go full steam ahead with it, which is great.”

He refused to divulge any more details about the project, except to say it has been “three years in the making” and he’s very excited about it.

Perhaps he’ll tell us more when he’s on This Morning next week.

Welcome back Rylan!
