The heartbreaking reason I’m A Celeb’s Iain Lee is really on the show

And it’s not for the reason you think

I’m A Celebrity’s Iain Lee has reportedly admitted he will be using his fee for being on the show to pay for his ill mother’s care home fees.

Iain’s mum, Linda, is 66 and has severe MS.

Iain has apparently been spending his life savings on covering the £1,500-a-week it costs for her to be looked after.

It has been claimed that Linda can’t walk, talk or feed herself.

Before he went into the jungle, the TalkRADIO host apparently told a friend that the costs were too great for her to be kept in the home, and he was very upset by the situation.

A source close to Iain revealed to The Sun that “His mum’s care home costs are a great concern for Iain.

“He’ll be able to use a proportion of his jungle fee to stabilise the situation.

“He’s made no secret of the fact he can’t wait to get home to his boys, but knowing the money will be a huge help to his mum is stopping him from walking out.”

Iain, who has been accused of being a game player by some of his campmates has been a bit of a lone wolf since he entered the jungle a few days after the original contestants.

Becky Vardy, who got booted out of the jungle last night has claimed that Iain is pulling at the heartstrings of the nation to win votes…

While she was in the jungle, the wife of England footballer Jamie, told Lee: “Look at you, you secret game planner… buzzing that you are not going out tomorrow, you’ve got a game plan you have.”

She then repeated her views to Joe Swash on Extra Camp last night, but later told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain that she was “under pressure” when she made the comment and that it was “slightly taken out of context.”

“Do you know what? Iain and I had some really nice conversations, we spoke about what we’d been through in our past and I gave him a lot of pep talks.”

She went on to say that the camp have been supportive of Iain (who some viewers think is being bullied in the camp) and even gave him a medal for facing his fears in the Bushtucker Trial.
