Suranne Jones has poured cold water on the possibility of a third series of Doctor Foster being made… in the near future, at least.
The former Corrie star, 39, said today on This Morning her current schedule is too packed to film another instalment in the BBC One drama.
Asked by Holly Willoughby whether she would be interested in reprising her role as the title character after writer Mike Bartett suggested a return would be down to the in demand star, a torn Suranne answered: “I don’t know!”

‘It’s a timing issue,” she continued, noting her West End theatre commitments as well as the potential for a second series for Sky Atlantic’s Save Me.
Pressed by Philip Schofield over how Doctor Foster must be keen to find her son, Surname joked: “He’s alright.
“He’ll be travelling somewhere, for a couple of years.”
She continued: “Would you really want him to come back to those damaged parents?”
The busy star did, however, rule out moving to the US, despite ambitions behind the camera.
“I want to do producing,” she said.
“But I’m so happy here and there’s so much going on for me – my family and friends and here so I’m staying.”
