Strictly Come Dancing fans fuming over glaring movie blunder

Looks like someone needs to watch Toy Story again!

Strictly fans were up in arms over the show’s Movie Week theme after confusion around one of the couples’ outfit choices.

TV chef Simon Rimmer dressed as Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear while his professional partner, Karen Clifton, was decked out cowgirl style as the hit movie trilogy’s Jessie.

The pair danced an impressive Quickstep to Randy Newman’s You’ve Got A Friend In Me, made famous by the first Toy Story film in 1995.

However, eagle- eyed viewers were quick to express their disgust online, claiming that it was inaccurate to have these particular characters dancing together.

Sadly for those who were quick to share their confusion on social media, the pairing made perfect sense as Buzz and Jessie do get together in Toy Story 2.

Not that that was enough for some, who demanded a lower score for not making things clear.

Thankfully, there were plenty who did know their stuff when it came to Toy Story (or Toy Story 2 as we should say) and they were more than happy to defend the show’s costumes.

It didn’t detract from a great Movie Week on Strictly, and The Reverend Richard Coles shared a great picture of some of the celebrities lined up in their outfits.

All the fun and games didn’t add up to a great score for Simon though, and he received 19 from the judges with Craig Revel Horwood deeming it worthy of just three points.

Not quite to infinity and beyond!
