Stand-up comic Iain Lee heading to the jungle

The controversial radio host is going to stir things up in camp.

Stand-up comedian and controversial talkRADIO DJ Iain Lee is heading to the I’m a Celebrity jungle.

The opinionated DJ and talkshow host will be the last star to enter the show after MSP and former Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale.

And bosses hope the late arrivals will cause some fireworks in the camp.

“Iain isn’t afraid to speak his mind,” a source told The Sun. “He regularly rants and raves on his talkRADIO show and listeners should expect the same from him in the jungle.”

Back in 2015, Iain left his radio show on BBC Three Counties Radio after he called a Christian lawyer a bigot.

Libby Powell appeared on Iain’s show where she appeared to defend a former prison worker who’d been disciplined after reading aloud passages from the Bible where homosexuality was listed as a sin.

Iain said Ms Powell’s views were “poisonous” and “hateful” but later his interview was found to have been inappropriate and he left his job, though he stood by his remarks.

He now presents The Late Night Alternative Show on talkRADIO as well as having a successful career as a stand-up comedian.

“He’s very much in the mould of Danny Baker, who was a late arrival last year,” the source added.

“He will not bite his tongue and is sure to break the harmonious camp’s current mood very quickly. Expect fireworks.”

Fellow jungle latecomer Kezia Dugdale, is also expected to stir things up when she arrives in the camp.

The MSP has already been slammed for signing up to the reality show and is facing calls for her to resign because she’s taking time away from her day job.
