Entertainment Daily have had a sneak peek at the episode and can give you a heads up on what will be some really unsettling television. Here’s what to expect from what will be one of soap’s most talked about episodes of 2018.

You will have a whole new respect for Jack as an actor

Obviously we know the lad can act his socks off, but he takes it to a whole new level tonight, especially as the GHB Josh slips into David’s drink kicks in.

David doesn’t usually open up to people, preferring a sarcastic comment – but he really confides in Josh while they’re in the bar together. And we get a glimpse of David he usually keeps hidden. He absolutely trusts Josh, which makes what happens later harder to stomach.

You will HATE Josh

From the moment he starts being a bit too touchy-feely with David, until the moment he starts unbuckling his belt before the closing credits, Josh will make your skin crawl. Fair play to Ryan Clayton – it takes some skill to make an audience feel this repelled by a character.

When the lads get back to Josh’s flat, it becomes really uncomfortable to watch. You’ll have your hands over your eyes and might even be reaching for the remote. Stick with it though, it will give you an insight into what’s going on in David’s head over the next few weeks…

Corrie has said from the outset that the rape will be implied not shown and the last shot of Josh kicking his bedroom door shut after he’s thrown an unconscious David face down on the bed will stick with you for a long time after the episode ends.
