Amelia’s disappearance in Emmerdale takes dark turn as Daz receives ransom call

This week sees yet more twists surrounding Amelia's disappearance

There are yet more twists ands turns to come in the mystery surrounding Amelia’s disappearance this week as Daz starts to become increasingly unhinged.

These new developments in the storyline will see Amelia’s biological dad cracking under the pressure after he gets a ransom call from Beth, who is holding Amelia hostage to get revenge for something Daz did in his past.

Back in 2009 Daz killed a fellow soldier during a live training exercise, and Beth wants to make she he pays for what he did.

Fans have even made a guess that Beth could be the daughter of the soldier Daz killed and is looking for justice.

But as Daz struggles to get the money together to ensure Amelia’s safe return, will the teenager ever make it home?

Kerry isn’t happy about the fact Daz clearly knows more than he’s letting on when it comes to the mysterious ransom call and demands some answers.

But will Daz reveal everything when given the chance?

With Amelia having been gone for weeks now, Kerry and Dan are desperate for answers, frustrated that the police search for their girl has been fruitless.

The pair have even staged televised appeals for her safe return. All the while suspecting Daz might know more about her vanishing than he’s letting on.

Amelia disappeared from her bedroom no long after she discovered that Daz, the man she has seen raised thinking was her uncle, was actually her biological father.

Little do they know Amelia befriended her abductor via an internet chatroom, which lead to her being held hostage by Beth.

With Daz’s shady past coming back to haunt him, he has been at the forefront of the police investigation, and it looks like things are only set to get worse for the former soldier.

But with this connection to his army past now revealed, it seems Daz knows a lot more than he’s been letting on.

As Kerry begs him to talk, can she help him save Amelia and also clear his own name? Or is this tagged web only set to get more complicated?

And with Beth getting more sinister by the day, will Amelia escape her clutches before it’s too late?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays, although times may vary this week due to World Cup football fixtures.
