Shirley Ballas nearly misses her Strictly Come Dancing cue and viewers are howling

Better late than never, eh Shirley?

Shirley Ballas nearly managed to miss her Strictly Come Dancing entrance and it’s left viewers howling.

The head judge on the panel of the BBC celebrity ballroom dancing competition has to dance onto the stage each week alongside her fellow judges, but she somehow managed to almost miss it.

Viewers flocked to social media to share their feelings on Shirley’s near miss.

One wrote: “Shirley was too busy shimmying to hit her spot. #strictly”

Another added: “Shirley always, without fail, being far too slow to stop faffing about is my favourite recurring gag #scd #strictly.”

Unfortunately not everyone found it funny with another tweeting: “Can someone just wheel Shirley on and deposit her in the right place from now on? She’s clearly incapable of doing it by herself!! #scd #Strictly”

Meanwhile, Alexandra Burke and Gorka performed the Quickstep to The Gold Diggers’ Song from 42nd Street, Debbie McGee and Giovanni danced the Samba to a Spice Girls medley, while Gemma Atkinson and Alijaz did the American Smooth to Petula Clark’s Downtown.

Mollie King and AJ danced the Charleston to Little Mix’s hit Wings, Susan Calman and partner Kevin performed their Paso Doble to Strictly Ballroom, and Davood and Nadiya did the same dance to Bond theme Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney.
