Each week throughout the series, hundreds of lucky viewers were surprised with tickets to Orlando in a plane specifically chartered by Virgin Holidays for the airing of the episode.

Joe Thompson, managing director of Virgin Holidays, said: “We’ve had hundreds of thousands of families enter the competition to win a place on the plane, but unfortunately we only have space for a lucky few.

“We’re really excited about giving these deserving winners the holiday of a lifetime, and can’t wait to see the live television spectacle ITV have planned for April 7.”

Saturday Night Takeaway will also welcome a slew of special guests for the series finale.

Hollywood actress and former Bond girl Denise Richards will be Special Guest Announcer, while Craig David will serve as resident DJ and Jason Derulo will take on the End of Show Show.

The Rembrandts – famous for the Friends theme song – will participate in Singalong Live.

Dec is hosting the finale alone after first going solo for last week’s episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.

He chose to continue and front the series by himself after Ant returned to treatment and stepped down from work following a drink-drive charge in March.

Viewers and critics widely praised Dec’s solo efforts on last weekend’s episode.

It was watched by 7.7 million viewers, with a peak of 8.6 million viewers.

Earlier this week, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway was nominated for a TV BAFTA.
