Parents face children’s year six exams in new Channel 4 series ‘Class of Mum and Dad’

Mum Julie, 47, found test so upsetting she had to leave the classroom to hide her tears

Brave parents will go back to school for half a term and be put to the test on their children’s year six curriculum for a new Channel 4 series – and Class of Mum and Dad proves there are no easy answers unless you know them.

A whopping HALF of the parents who take on the SAT exams their children also face are seen failing at the maths and English tests they are set at Blackrod Primary School in Bolton.

And for one mum the exam pressure is all too much, leaving her in tears as she struggles with the questions in front of her.

Julia, 47, hasn’t taken a maths test – a subject she admits she was “horrendous” at while she was at school – in over three decades.

And despite Julia trying her best, a teacher – who reveals she had to revise the syllabus for 11-year-olds thoroughly before she felt confident with it – ends up consoling her in the toilets after she sobs about feeling “stupid”.

“I know I should be able to do this but I find it very, very difficult,” Julia despairs.
