Piers Morgan threatens to expose Strictly judge Bruno Tonioli’s topless snaps

He was furious after the way Charlotte Hawkins was treated on Saturday's show

Just last week Piers Morgan didn’t seem so supportive of his co-host Charlotte Hawkins after accusing her of letting the Good Morning Britain team down following her “disastrous” Cha Cha Cha performance on Strictly Come Dancing.

But during today’s episode of the early-morning show Piers was quick to defend his co-star after she appeared to wow him with her Top Gun themed routine on Saturday.

The outpsoken presenter hit out at judges Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli – even threatening to expose photos of Bruno “dancing topless with a sailor’s hat on”.

Piers, 52, first started off slating head judge Shirley for her comments on Charlotte’s routine.

Charlotte was criticised for her “rise and fall” routine resulting in professional partner Brendan Cole hitting back at Shirley branding her “disrespectful”.

And Piers didn’t hold back his opinions on Shirley labelling her a “bully” and a “sour-faced creature”.

He said: “I have no idea what rise and fall is but whatever it is it looked fine to me Charlotte.

“She’s a piece of work Shirley isn’t she. She likes the good looking guys, not the pretty girls, and she’s got a thing about you.

“Today we’re going to go to war with Shirley. She is a sour-faced creature who needs to be repelled. We’re coming after her.”

Co-host Susanna Reid, who was stunned at Piers’ comments, added: “We’re definitely all for Charlotte and fighting the good battle, but I think we need to pick our battles.”

Piers added: “Shirley we’re coming for you. You take on one of ours, we fight as a pack on this show.”

On Saturday’s show Shirley was backed by fellow judge Bruno which led to Piers slating him as well.

Moving on to Bruno, 61, Piers threatened to unveil the saucy photos over Bruno’s remarks on the show.

“[Bruno] shouldn’t have piped up either,” he said.

“There was plenty of ride and fall at my birthday party when he danced topless with a sailor’s hat on.

“These pictures will come out, if this carries on.”

Crikey, could there be a Strictly feud on the way?

On Saturday Charlotte got Strictly viewers hot under the collar with her fiery performance to Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone Top Gun theme.

But it failed to impress Shirley as she told Charlotte: “She needs to stand on her own feet and we’ve established that there’s no rise and fall in Tango.

“So we’ve got to make a concrete decision not to use rise and fall. So no rise and fall.”

As Charlotte became visibly emotional over Shirley’s harsh comments her dance partner Brendan was quick to jump to her defense.

He hit back saying: “There was no rise and fall in that whatsoever.”

Shirley then hit back with: “Well, there is, Brendan. You should play it back and see.”

Brendan added: “I will my dear, I will. There was no rise and fall.”

Bruno then stepped in, defending Shirley. He said: “I’m not an expert, I’ve only done about 500 shows but I think Shirley’s right, you should be more respectful.”

Ending the awkward showdown Brendan said: “I do respect her but I just don’t agree.”

Sunday night saw Rev Richard Coles booted from the show, with Charlotte dancing into the fourth week of the competition.
