We’ve all got our fave characters in soap – and those we don’t like so much. But somehow we expected TV presenters to stay carefully impartial.
So Phillip Schofield shocked us all when he announced exactly what he thinks of Emmerdale fan fave Robert Sugden!
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron in Emmerdale was on This Morning to discuss the promised Robron reunion.
And even he looked a little startled when Phil shared his thoughts on poor Robert.
“Robert Sugden is a nasty piece of work,” Phillip announced.
We can’t lie – he’s got a point. After all, Robert’s killed people, plotted, schemed and manipulated.
We weren’t the only ones to agree with Phil. Even Danny admitted he was telling the truth.

“I don’t know how he gets away with it,” laughed Danny.
And yet the fans still love him!
But Danny had an answer for that.
“People still say he’s their favourite character,” he said. “I think that’s down to Ryan Hawley (who plays Robert) really.
“He manages to play the dark side of Robert, and then people see him with Aaron and they like him.”
Last night, viewers were enthralled as Robert and Aaron finally got back together, after Aaron dumped his new fella, dishy doc Alex.

“Alex has got the job and the nice car, and he doesn’t want the drama,” Danny said. “But Aaron doesn’t want that normal life. It’s the drama that attracts Aaron.”
Somehow we think the drama will continue once the honeymoon period back together fades!
