Phil leaves Holly in hysterics after making cheeky innuendo about Kelly Brook

They struggled to compose themselves

Holly Willoughby was left in fits of giggles when Phillip Schofield made an innuendo about Kelly Brook’s “garden gate”.

Phil, 56, and Holly, 37, were introducing Kelly’s gardening segment on Monday’s This Morning.

Holly said: “She’s the Insta gardener who’s been showing us around some of the most exceptional gardens in the country.”

But Phil then took over and added: “After opening up her own garden gate for us all to see her beautiful borders last week….”

Holly immediately burst into giggles and could barely keep herself under control.

Struggling to finish his sentence because he was giggling, Phil added: “Kelly Brooks is here to show you the bare necessities you need to become a green fingered goddess.”

As the show cut to Kelly’s segment, the pair could be heard breaking into hysterics over the cheeky blunder.

It’s not the first time the pair have struggled to compose themselves on the daytime show.

Just last week, Holly was unable to continue her autocue readings on the show after being caught off guard by a hilarious innuendo.

Revealing what was coming up on the rest of the show, Holly read: “Alison goes for the hunt for a giant fertility drawing in Dorset at 11.45.”

Her voice cracked with laughter and as the camera came back to the pair, Phil glanced over at Holly.

She exclaimed: “Don’t look at me!”

As Phil’s jaw dropped, she added: “Let me just explain that, he knows I’m slightly giggling and if you rewind that back just look at him do this (turns her head) to push me over the edge.”

Phil innocently replied: “I was just looking to make sure you were OK.”

But Holly wasn’t convinced and quipped: “No you weren’t.”

Later on in the show, the duo got the giggles once again after trying Elle MacPherson’s “sticky” chocolate balls.

After chewing a bit, Phil said: “They taste very healthy,” as Holly added: “They’re quite nice as a snack, it’s not chocolate obviously.”

But as they continued to chew, Holly got the giggles after realising the sweet treat was slightly more “sticky” than she thought.

She said: “I need some water… I want to sip, I’ve got to read.”

Phil added: “They’re sticky aren’t they?” to which Holly replied: “They really are, they’ve stuck my mouth together!”
