Hosts of the returning Dancing On Ice REVEALED

This should make most people very happy indeed

Our favourite daytime TV presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have been revealed as the hosts of the new series of Dancing On Ice, set to come back to our screens in January 2018.

Phil and Holly were the original hosts of the show when it first appeared on our televisions 11 years ago (yes 11 years ago!) so it was only right that they would return to host the show once again.

It’s been over three years since the last series of Dancing On Ice, so this one is set to be bigger and better than ever.

The celebrity ice skating competition was a hit with the nation and pulled in millions of viewers, so it was sad to see it go.

Holly presented the show from 2006 to 2011 after which another telly favourite Christine Bleakley stepped in to replace her.

A source told The Sun: “It’s a massive coup for ITV to have Holly and Phil back on board. Producers love the idea of going back to the original line-up and they’re both really excited to return to their roots.”

Famous ice skating duo Torvill and Dean, who used to be coaches for the celebrity contestants, will return as judges and give their marks on the dance moves (or lack of) coming from the star studded lineup.

Celebrities who have been rumoured to be entering the show include Loose Women panelist Katie Price, Heart Radio’s Toby Anstis, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn. We are yet to hear a confirmed lineup of celebs from ITV themselves, but we can’t wait!

Phil and Holly are regular presenters on This Morning but recently finished their stint as the summer holidays commenced, but they will be back soon. In the meantime they have been replaced mainly by the show’s resident couple Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

According to reports, the new series of Dancing On Ice will be radically different from previous series’ and will feature all new dancers, plus a new judging line up. As Torvill and Dean will move to the judging panel, who will replace them as coaches? Well it’s set to be former show skater Sylvain Longchambon.

Sylvain, who is French, made the female viewers swoon with his gorgeous good looks and he fell in love with his dancing partner Corrie’s Samia Ghadie who he ended up marrying! Maybe they will return together as the new Torvill and Dean?

An insider told The Sun Online: “Dancing On Ice is going to look quite different when it comes back. Torvill and Dean are going to be on the judging panel so there will need to be a new approach to teaching the celebs to skate.

“Sylvain has been on the show for years and has proved popular with both the fans and the production team so they’ve asked him to come back.

“Things are still up in the air and a lot of new skaters are being considered and approached, so the line-up of pros could look totally different.

But Sylvain will definitely be at least one familiar face when the show comes back early next year. There is also talk of him taking a coaching role with Torvill and Dean moving to the judging panel.”
