Oops! Celebrity Big Brother suffers embarrassing slip on live show

Presenter Emma Willis laughed it off

Celebrity Big Brother suffered an embarrassing technical fault during last night’s episode which saw the same clip being played twice by mistake.

After the same VT was repeated, presenter Emma Willis was seen raising her eyebrows as she said: “Don’t you just love live TV when they put the wrong VT on?”

She then apologised for the mix up, as the crowd started to cheer, she said: “Uh sorry about that, I think you’ve already seen that haven’t you?

“Yes! Would you like to see the one I was talking about? The straight-talking advice from Marissa? Here it is!”

Marissa Jade, 32, was the first housemate to be booted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house last night, and she clearly wasn’t too happy about it. She continued to shake her head as she made her way to Emma Willis to give her eviction interview.

She confessed she wasn’t that surprised to be voted off the show as she said: “I had my doubts as a lot of members are from the UK. I wasn’t confident on the fan base I have out here. I would have [loved to win].”

She continued: “I really didn’t know what the public wanted from me. I felt like an underdog since the second I went in as other housemates were more well-known than I was.”

It was former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson who nominated Marissa for eviction. She wasn’t happy with being nominated, as she explained: “There wasn’t really a reason, I came to the conclusion that there were allies in the house and it was easier to target someone you didn’t know.

“Out of the people he didn’t know I was probably the most memorable one. I thought I handled it well but I guess it wasn’t enough.”

Speaking to CBB’s Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal afterwards, Emma said she could tell Marissa was upset about leaving. She told him: “She was not happy and she was also really emotional. I think she was just gutted – I think you would be if you’re the first out.

“You could see the annoyance. She didn’t want to go and I didn’t want her to go.

“I agree with the audience member who just said she had so much more to give.”

Marissa revealed to Rylan that she “vibed really well” with former housemate Jordan Davies. She said: “He is an all-around amazing guy and full of life and he brought a lot to the table.”

When asked if there could have been something between the two if she had not been evicted, she replied: “He was trying to get me on the cider! Maybe it was a good thing I was out early as who knows what would have happened?

“I think he is great. I love his friendship, I really do.

“I know that he is someone that I will definitely keep in touch with.”
