New I’m a Celebrity star confesses they’ve never even watched the show

Someone's in for a rude awakening

As the new series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! kicks off, one of the contestants has revealed he has never watched a single episode and has no idea what he’s in for.

The contestants arrived in the Gold Coast to spend a few days in luxury and catch up with hosts Ant and Dec.

Each of the contestants shared their feelings about their upcoming trip to the jungle – but for Amir Khan, the next few weeks are a mystery.

According to The Mirror the boxer admitted that he’s never watched I’m a Celeb, and doesn’t know what he can expect from his time there – causing Ant and Dec to break down in laughter.

Jamie Lomas told the pair he was happy to see fellow northerner and soap star Jennie McAlpine there, while Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo confessed she didn’t know whether she knew one of her fellow contestants.

Georgia claimed that she and YouTube star Jack Maynard have mutual friends, but she can’t remember whether they’ve ever actually met.

After his admission Amir didn’t have long to wait before he was given an idea of what the show would entail.

A group of contestants were taken to the top of a beach-side high-rise and forced to walk out over the edge on narrow scaffolding.

But that might be preferable to what the other contestants were asked to do – with former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise and comedian Shappi Khorsandi sent off to sky dive into a lake and swim to a beacon.

And Boris Johnson’s dad Stanley had an altogether different challenge with footballer Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah – the pair were forced to hunt for tokens through holes in an upturned boat.

They found themselves clawing through toads, rats, and worse, in order to find the tokens they needed.
