Miffed Becky Vardy accuses I’m A Celeb star of sexism

There's a new Prime Minister in the jungle handing out jobs

Becky Vardy didn’t seem very happy (again) with the latest I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! twist.

Viewers have voted ex Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas as the new camp Prime Minister, taking over the role from Stanley Johnson.

One of Jamie’s first tasks as leader was to hand out chores in camp.

And that’s where Becky piped up.

Jamie and his deputy, Jennie McAlpine, put the WAG and Vanessa White on cleaning duty, which means doing the dishes and the dunny.

Yuck. A dirty job but someone’s gotta do it.

Becky told the Bush Telegraph: “So, for most of our time in jungle I’ve been practically responsible for putting food in the mouths of the campmates, now I’ll be responsible for cleaning up what comes out the other end.”

Now, we reckon Becky will just get stuck in and do what needs to be done.

But Jamie may want to think before he speaks in future… he let slip the reason he didn’t put Amir Khan or Dennis Wise on dunny duty instead.

He said: “I didn’t want the boys having to clean the [bleep] up.”

Becky retorted: “So it’s alright for girls to do it?”

Jamie said: “You don’t mind!”

Becky replied: “Slightest sexist, Jamie!” But she said it with a smile, so whether she’s truly annoyed, who knows?

Jamie said: “I didn’t mean it that way! You’re gonna give me a bad name! I’ve only been in office a few minutes!”

He privately added in the Bush Telegraph: “I nearly put Amir and Dennis on toilet duty but they’re my mates, aren’t they? I couldn’t do it, so I put the girls on it instead.”

Meanwhile, Kez Dugdale and Shappi Khorsandi are the new camp chefs.

Iain Lee, Toff and Stanley Johnson are in charge of maintenance, while Amir and Dennis are on washing up duty.

“I couldn’t believe Jamie put me on washing up duty,” grumbled Amir. “I did the washing up earlier in camp… but I’d rather do the washing up than change the dunny.”

Us, too!

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
