Michelle Keegan fans concerned she’s revealed the end of Our Girl

First they kill off Elvis...

Our Girl star Michelle Keegan shared a glimpse of the drama’s final day of shooting – leading to speculation that the BBC drama isn’t returning to screens.

The actress has been heading up the military drama since series two began in 2016, taking over from season one’s star, Lacey Turner.

The third series has been following a new format – divided into three four-part mini-series, each following missions in different parts of the world.

The first part aired on BBC One in October, and saw Michelle’s Georgie Lane on a mission in Nepal.

The upcoming part two is set in South Africa, and will be coming to screens next year.

Michelle has been busy filming part three in Malaysia, and the show has just wrapped production, bringing the entire third series to a close.

The actress shared shots of the celebrating cast and crew to Instagram Stories, showing them singing and dancing in celebration, as Michelle got a round of high fives.

The group were shown jubilantly singing in a van, and then walking across their Malaysian set.

A shot of the resting cast showed co-star Sean Ward saying “It’s the final scene of Our Girl, guys,” as the camera panned around the group.

A final shot saw Michelle running around the set collecting high fives from the cast and crew, with the caption “Last scene after 8 MONTHS!!!”

Her co-star Ben Aldridge also took to Instagram to celebrate the end of shooting, sharing a photo of his boots, with the caption “OGS3 LOVE and SALUTE you all. CJ DONE.”

Some fans took this to mean Ben would be hanging up his boots for good, and that Our Girl would be finishing after it’s third series.

“Oooohh god, sounds like there’s not going to be a fourth series…. and no more Captain James,” commented one fan. “I don’t want it to be the last season. :((((” said another.

“We shall all be sad to see the final instalment of Capt James. FabulousPart Expertly Executed. Thanks @benaldridge2016 for playing him so brilliantly,” said another.

The BBC have yet to confirm whether the show will return for a fourth series, but with two parts of series three still to come, there’s still plenty to enjoy.
