It wouldn’t be the first time one of the Love Island lads reportedly dumped a girlfriend so that they could get onto the hit ITV show. But Chris Hughes has now come under fire for having a ‘secret’ girlfriend before the show.
According to Now magazine, the 24-year-old left a heartbroken girl called Victoria Alice Wale behind as he gallivanted off to Love Island, seemingly leaving her and their relationship behind.
The magazine stated that the pair were in a relationship for several years until April 2017 and Victoria allegedly sent lots of messages to Chris over Twitter including pictures of them looking loved up and calling him her ‘best friend’.

The magazine said that all the information they referenced were open for people to view on Victoria’s Twitter account until they went to press and she made her account private. She also allegedly put pictures online of her and Chris’s holidays to Portugal and Thailand.
If Victoria really was in a serious relationship with Chris then it must have been pretty painful to watch him fall in love with someone else on national TV. Chris became an item with Olivia Attwood on the show and they were one of the viewers’ favourite couples.
Chris made the girls of the nation fall in love with him, with his adorable declarations of love for Olivia. As the show came to a close he said: “Olivia’s first impression will remain cemented in my soul as one of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen.” Aaw!
He continued: “Our journey is ending where another will begin, and to me you’re Snowy, if I was Tin Tin. Your cuddles in the morning and your kisses at night, but your freckles are one of my favourite sights.”
In 2015 his alleged ex girlfriend Victoria tweeted about Love Island, saying: “Desperation at its highest.”
Not a fan of the show, then!
Victoria, much like Olivia, is also a pretty blonde with an amazing figure, so seemingly Chris has a type!
Until recently Victoria was a salesperson for Aston Martin and her Twitter header picture was one of her and Chris until the changed it not too long ago.

Couple Chris and Olivia came third in the show, losing to winners Kem and Amber, and runners-up Camilla and Jamie.
