Love Island’s Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas spark rumours they’ve split

Not another one!

We’ve only just heard that Montana and Alex have broken up since coming off Love Island, and what with Chris and Olivia’s rocky relationship we don’t know if we could take another Love Island break up!

But rumours are flying that last year’s contestants Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas have split, as there is little trace of them on eachother’s social media.

The pair have reportedly unfollowed eachother on social media, and Kady tweeted a cryptic message which has fans thinking their relationship is over. She simply tweeted: “New chapter” with the book emoji, and fans were quick to ask her if she has broken up with Scott.

But that’s not all the evidence that’s been gathered which shows that they have likely parted ways. They have reportedly deleted some pictures together from their Instagram pages.

The couple met on Love Island 2016 and Scott asked Kady to be his girlfriend by spelling out the question in towels by the pool. How romantic! Since then the two survived life off the island, and after the cameras stopped rolling their love remained strong. Well until now.

Kady appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning in a discussion about social media and her influence on women who follow her on Instagram.

She said: “My following on social media is 90% women, it’s only 10% men. I even have ladies up to 60 years old saying that I actually give them motivation.”

She did reference her ‘boyfriend’ during the interview, though this could have been because the couple were together at the time that she was telling the BBC presenters about.

She said: “I’m a size six, I’m very little but I still have stretch marks. There’s photos that I’ve uploaded straight from the beach when I’m holiday with my boyfriend and I could have easily downloaded an app and smoothed the marks over, but I’m very happy within myself.”

She also spoke about the pressures some people feel to edit their photos too much. She said: “Girls feel very under pressure from these ‘perfect people’, maybe they are edited but it’s a very hard subject. Some people do edit their photos and some people don’t.

“I don’t edit my photos but I use filters. If I need to brighten the image. I don’t edit or change my features on my body in any way.”

She continued: “I get lots of people message me and say they want to look like me and it does upset me. I always try respond back to people.”

Kady recently gave advice to the latest Love Island contestants, about how to keep up the relationships they’ve made. She spoke about her own struggles with Scott when they came off the ITV show, so that people could learn from their lessons.

She told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “When we first came out, especially the first three months, we were living out of suitcases.

“We were doing PAs, travelling and obviously we were on our phones the whole time.

“It’s important just to make sure you do have an hour to yourselves, with your phone turned off.

“When we were on dates, if we went to Nando’s, we’d turn our phones off. Because if not we’d just forget to communicate and that’s what happened at first.”
