Love Island newcomer Ellie Brown has revealed she already knows fellow islander Adam Collard.
The 20-year-old business development manager said she knows Adam, 22, to exchange pleasantries with, but they aren’t bosom buddies or anything like that.
Ahead of entering the villa on Sunday night she said: “I do know Adam. And I’ve met his ex. Newcastle is very small so everyone knows everyone. We all speak. If I saw him in a nightclub I would say ‘hello’ but we’ve not been in the same friendship circle.”
Ellie added: “I knew Alex Beattie from last year, I knew Sophie Gradon from series two.”

The newcomer suggested she didn’t know Adam that well, which would contradict a recent claim that she was hoping to confront him for ending a previous romance with her friend.
A source had told The Sun: “[She] so will definitely pull him up about that from the off. And because she knows him really well she’s not going to hold back, so things could be very tense in there.”
Meanwhile, Ellie has said she already has her eye on Dr Alex George, admitting she’s “in love” with him already.
Ellie also said she’s keen to form some good friendships in the villa, but also “would tread on toes” if there was a reason.
“Friendships to me are just as important as relationships. I know it’s not a friendship show, it’s a love show,” she said.
“I’m nervous about how the girls will react. I would tread on toes within reason. Dani is definitely someone Id like to be friends with – she seems like a motherly figure.

“I think Samira is great too; she needs to stay in there to find someone. Everyone is sympathetic to Alex but they don’t think about the fact that Samira hasn’t found anyone either.”
Ellie will enter the villa on Sunday night alongside fellow newcomer Zara McDermott, a 21-year-old government adviser from Essex.
