Love Island SPOILER: Two new islanders arrive as TWO are dumped

There's never a quiet day in the villa, is there?

| Updated:

Love Island will welcome two brand new islanders on Monday night, but in a shock twist, they’ll arrive after two existing islanders are dumped!

Viewers have been voting overnight for their favourite male and favourite female islander.

And the pair with the fewest number of votes will be sent home on Monday.

What we didn’t know, however, was that the two islanders are leaving to make room at the villa for two brand new men.

It’s Samira Mighty who receives the text message that reads: “Islanders, tonight two new boys will enter the villa… but first… two Islanders must leave. Please gather around the fire pit immediately.”

Wes Nelson then gets a second text that reads: “The public have been voting for their favourite girl and favourite boy. The Islanders with the fewest votes will be dumped from the Island tonight.”

The three boys and three girls with the fewest public votes will be named, with the boy and girl right at the bottom going home.

It’s a cruel twist as rather than sending a couple home, this dumping will mean splitting up couples, some of whom are very happy together.

Fan favourites Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham are the villa’s only boyfriend and girlfriend, but Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley and Wes and Megan Barton Hanson are well on their way to joining them.

Things are also going well for Georgia Steel and Sam Bird, Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake, and Samira and Frankie Foster.

On the other end of the spectrum, things haven’t gone great for Laura Anderson, who dumped Jack Fowler on Sunday  only to immediately regret it, and Dr Alex George and Grace Wardle who are very much in the friend zone.

There’s more heartbreak for Laura on Monday night’s episode when Jack makes a move on Grace.

But if she survives the dumping, perhaps one of the new men will take Laura’s fancy?

Meanwhile in tonight’s episode, things are going from strength to strength for both Josh and Kaz and Wes and Megan.

Josh and Kaz are sent on a romantic date outside the villa where Josh admits: “I’m really happy. It’s been a journey and I feel like it’s only just starting with you. It started when I walked through the door at Casa Amor and I feel like I’m getting a bit emotional.

“Even though it’s been a short amount of time, I feel like I know you really well. My favourite time of day is waking up to you and my second favourite time of day is going to bed and lying in the villa and talking absolute rubbish.

“I thought now is a good opportunity for me to ask you…”

Sadly we’ll have to wait until tonight to find out what he asked!

Things are also progressing well for Wes and Megan, who’ve had a bit of a rollercoaster time.

We all know Wes dumped Laura for Megan, only for Megan to ditch him for Alex Miller, then ditch Alex to go back to Wes.

But it seems like Megan is ready to be a one-man girl as she confesses on Sunday night she’d say yes if Wes asked her to be his girlfriend!

Megan gushes in the Beach Hut: “I’ve found everything I’ve been looking for in Wes… If Wes did want to be my boyfriend, I wouldn’t say no.”

Love Island airs 9pm on ITV2.
