Each existing couple are forced to name the two other couples in the villa they think are the least compatible – and the couple with the most votes could be going home!

A text sent to Eyal Booker reads: “Islanders, tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are least compatible.”

It continues: “Those who receive the most votes risk being dumped from the island tomorrow. You must now discuss in your couples who you are going to choose and then submit your decision by text.

“You must not discuss your decision with anyone else.”

Eek!

Naturally, the text causes drama among the group, with everyone feeling a bit concerned and worried about the vote outcome – and who to choose.

Wes Nelson tells his partner Laura Anderson they need to vote truthfully and not be influenced by the fact they may like certain people more than others.

He advises her: “The only fair way to do this is to answer the question, which is based on pure compatibility. It’s not about who we like the most, who we get on the most with. I think that’s completely unfair to do that. It’s not something to be taken lightheartedly.”

Among the couples feeling worried about their place in the villa are Dr Alex George and Samira Mighty who have made no secret of the fact they’re coupled as friends, not romantically.

Alex laments: “We’re the friendship couple – yeah of course we do feel vulnerable.”
