Lorraine Kelly proved what a true pro she is this morning when one of the cameramen on her show took a tumble – live on air!

The Scottie hottie was chatting to McFly singer, Tom Fletcher, about his new children’s book when the accident happened.

Tom – who was wearing a fetching Hi Vis vest – arrived via a BIN LORRY (we’re guessing it’s something to do with the book) at the back of the studio – and the camera crew followed them.

But as they walked back into the studio, with the cameraman trying to film them, disaster struck.

Instead of filming Tom and Lorraine’s faces, viewers were suddenly treated to a view of their feet and the studio floor, as the camera guy fell backwards.

As the footage descended into chaos, Lorraine and Tom helped the – no doubt MEGA EMBARRASSED – camera dude back onto his feet.

Lovely Lorraine told him: “Oh pet, you alright? Stand up, it’s ok.”

She then went on to hand him all the bits of equipment he’d dropped during his fall from grace.

What a sweetheart.

Later on, kind-hearted Lorraine gave viewers an update on the crew member’s health.

She said: “He’s fine, he’s given me the thumbs up – he’s ok.

“He just fell on his bottom, so he’s absolutely fine. He’s grand.”

Viewers took to Twitter to have some light-hearted banter about the incident.

One viewer suggested that the unfortunate crew member seek out some legal advice, cheekily tweeting: “Had an accident at work that isn’t your fault?”

A second panicked about his safety after his trip: “Cmon camera man where are you? Loool.”

Another reminded us to count our #blessings, saying: “If you’re having a bad day don’t forget about that poor cameraman!”

A fourth fan just found the whole thing too funny: “The camera man falling over on live TV was hilarious!! That made my morning.”
